What is a tube mill machine
A tube mills is a specialized industrial machine designed for the continuous and automated production of metal tubes and pipes, with steel being the primary material. It plays a crucial role in various industries such as construction, automotive, oil and gas, furniture manufacturing, and general engineering.

How many operators are needed for a complete tube mills line
Usually a complete welded pipe production line requires 6-10 people to operate, with the following configuration:
Raw material station: 1-2 operators
Butt welding station: 1 operator
Main operating station: 1-2 operators
Quality control: 1 operator
Cutting and sizing: 1 operator
Finished product management: 2-3 operators
Auxiliary Positions: 1-2 Operators
Highly automated pipe production lines (e.g. with automatic packing, online quality inspection and fault alarms) can further reduce labor requirements to 4-6 operators.
How do I choose between a cold saw and a hot saw
Cold saws use a high-speed rotating circular saw blade (usually made of carbide or high-speed steel) to cut metal pipes directly through the teeth. Due to the low cutting speed, the heat is concentrated in the sawdust and is not significantly transferred to the pipe itself, hence the name “cold sawing”.
Cold sawing has high cutting quality, smooth cross section and less burrs, but the cost of equipment and blades are higher, and it is generally applicable to high-precision and high-strength steel tubes, such as precision tubes, high-strength steel tubes for automobiles and so on.
Thermal saws usually use alloy steel saw blades or grinding wheel blades, rotating at high speed while relying on friction and cutting to separate the metal pipe. Due to the high cutting speed, the heat generated by the friction causes a localized warming at the cutting point, hence the name “hot saw”.
Thermal saws are more suitable for scenarios that do not require particularly high levels of precision, and are generally used to produce thin-walled pipes or common construction pipes. The cost of a hot saw is usually lower than that of a cold saw.
What Is High Frequency Welding
High-frequency welded pipe is a type of steel pipe formed by high-frequency induction heating technology, in which metal sheets (usually steel coils) are rolled into tubes and welded along the longitudinal direction. As the weld seam is arranged along the longitudinal direction of the pipe, it is called “Longitudinal Welded Pipe”.
Heating principle: High-frequency induction heating or contact heating generates electric current at the edge of the strip by electromagnetic induction, and the welding area is rapidly heated to the melting temperature by using the “skin effect” and “proximity effect”.
