What is a steel ball skew rolling mill machine
1. Working Principle
This machine adopts skew rolling technology to roll steel bars through two pairs of symmetrically arranged skew rolling molds. During the rolling process, the combination of the rotary motion of the molds and the feeding of the steel rods causes the rods to undergo plastic deformation in the molds, gradually forming steel balls with high precision spherical shape.

3. Process Flow of steel ball making machine
- Raw material preparation: Steel bars are cut to specified lengths.
- Heating: The steel rods are heated in a heating furnace to a suitable rolling temperature (about 1050-1200°C).
- Oblique rolling and forming: The heated steel rods are passed through rolling molds to form round steel balls.
- Cooling treatment: The steel balls are cooled by a cooling system to obtain the required hardness and properties.
- Quality Inspection: The steel balls are ensured to meet the standards through hardness testing and dimensional inspection.
